NATURE:
Mefenamic acid is a drug belonging to NSAIDs group, has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity due to inhibition of cyclo-oxygenase enzyme related to biosynthesis of prostaglandin and thromboxane from arachidonic acid. Prostaglandin plays an important role in causing inflammation, pain and fever. Poncif with the main active ingredient mefenamic acid blocking prostaglandin production should reduce pain, reduce inflammation and reduce fever due to any inflammation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Should not be combined with oral anticoagulants, parenteral heparin, other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, high-dose salicylates, lithium, high-dose methotrexate> 15 mg / week, ticlopidine.
Caution should be used in combination with diuretics, low dose methotrexate <15 mg / week, pentoxifyllin, zidovudin.

UNWANTED EFFECTS:
